Reward Customers, Employees with Partner Miles Available Online from Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30, 2003--Reward customers and employees with Partner Miles, now available online from the Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK) Mileage Plan, the carrier's award-winning frequent flyer program.

The new program provides a convenient way for businesses to purchase frequent flyer miles to use for a range of promotional activities for employees and customers including travel giveaways, incentive programs or bonuses.

"Free travel is a powerful motivator," said Ann Ardizzone, Alaska Airlines' managing director of marketing programs. "Mileage Plan is a valuable and successful customer loyalty program for Alaska Airlines. Now other companies can use it as their own loyalty program."

Businesses can enroll online at alaskaair.com. Upon approval of their application, they can purchase miles at a rate of 2 cents per mile, with a minimum purchase of 60,000 miles. Transactions can be made quickly and easily online.

As members of the Partner Miles program, companies also can use the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan brand to promote mileage-earning opportunities.

For as few as 20,000 miles, Mileage Plan members can fly to any U.S. or Canadian destination served by Alaska Airlines or its sister airline, Horizon Air. Or with additional miles they can fly to more than 600 destinations worldwide on one of Alaska's 10 major airline partners.
