SACRAMENTO, Calif., Jun 27, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Horizon Air today announced plans to bring back nonstop jet service between Sacramento and Palm Springs.

The service will run from Oct. 27, 2002 through April 27, 2003.

Flights will be offered once daily in each direction and will operate with 70-seat CRJ-700 regional jets. Horizon Air is the North America launch customer for the CRJ-700 regional jet. Southbound, the flight will depart Sacramento at 9 a.m. and arrive in Palm Springs at 10:25 a.m. Northbound, the flight will depart Palm Springs at 11:10 a.m. and arrive in Sacramento at 12:35 p.m.

Patrick Zachwieja, Horizon's vice president of marketing and planning said, "The success of a similar flight offered last winter encouraged us to offer it again for six months during the busy winter season."
