Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines Offer Full Air Cargo Services From Eugene
EUGENE, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 3, 2003--In the wake of cutbacks by other airlines serving Eugene Airport, Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines Cargo are picking up the slack to offer full air freight service from Eugene starting Monday, Jan. 6.
Service will be offered on all Horizon nonstop flights from Eugene to Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles for shipments of 100 lbs. or less per piece. For heavier shipments, flight service will be supplemented with ground service twice each weekday between Eugene and Portland International Airport where shipments can connect to Alaska Airlines or other carriers.
Horizon/Alaska cargo rates from Eugene are now common-rated with their rates from Portland and Seattle, making shipping from Eugene convenient and economical.
Horizon has served Eugene since 1983. Together, Alaska and Horizon serve 83 cities in the Lower 48, Alaska, Canada and Mexico. For more information, visit Alaska Airlines Air Cargo at http://alaskacargo.com.
