Going, Going, Almost Gone -- Last Week to Save With Alaska Airlines Spring Clearance

SEATTLE, Mar 6, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK) spring clearance fares are almost gone.

March 14 marks the last day to save up to 30 percent off Alaska Airlines' everyday low fares for travel this spring.

Whether traveling to one of Alaska Airlines' sunny destinations or discovering Alaska's newest destinations, Boston, Denver or Washington, D.C., now is the time to save. And through June 15, earn double Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles to Boston and Denver and between Vancouver, BC and Orange County.

Travel must be completed no later than May 23. Sample fares each way, based on roundtrip purchase are:

Some routes may include service on Horizon Air. A seven-day advance purchase is required. Fares are for travel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday and require a two-night minimum stay (Palm Springs, San Diego, Washington, D.C. and Boston require a Friday or Saturday night stay).

Tickets can be changed for a $50 fee, plus any applicable difference in fare. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights and days.

Sample fares do not include airport passenger facility charges of up to $18, the federal segment tax of up to $3 per takeoff and landing and the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement (up to $10). Fares to Canada do not include Canadian airport improvement fees, which vary by airport, and U.S. immigration fee of $6. Double miles are valid for Mileage Plan members on flights operated by Alaska Airlines who terminate or originate in Denver or Boston or are flying between Vancouver, BC and Orange County. Flights must be flown by June 15 and credited to Mileage Plan. Other restrictions apply.
