Alaska Airlines Vacations Introduces Washington, D.C. Packages

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 12, 2003--Alaska Airlines is introducing a capital idea with its new vacation packages to Washington, D.C.

Visitors can now enjoy the convenience and savings of a package that includes hotel accommodations, airport transfers, calling cards, guide maps and an array of optional tours that include the U.S. Capitol, the Vietnam Memorial, Arlington Cemetery and a host of other sites. And Alaska's award-winning service features non-stop flights between Seattle and Dulles International Airport or Reagan National Airport.

To introduce the service, Alaska Airlines is offering Mileage Plan members 3,000 bonus miles in addition to the actual flight miles. To receive bonus miles, travel must be booked online by June 30 and travel completed by Sept. 13.

Alaska Airlines Vacations offers packages for a wide range of budgets and includes a selection of hotels located near the Mall, Georgetown and Rock Creek Park, as well as a variety of airport transfers, including luxury sedans.

In addition, vacationers can choose from a variety of tours that include an assortment of monuments, museums and historic sites: the White House; Smithsonian Institute; National Air and Space Museum; the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials; embassy row, Library of Congress and many more. And the packages offer tours away from the capital to sites such as George Washington's Mount Vernon, Jefferson's Monticello, colonial Williamsburg and Gettysburg.

Alaska Airlines Vacations also offer packages to New York City, Canada, Alaska, California, the desert Southwest, Mexico and Seattle. Vacation packages are available in conjunction with travel on Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air.
