Alaska Airlines Resumes Full Flight Schedule to Puerto Vallarta

SEATTLE, Nov 1, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK) is operating its full schedule of flights to Puerto Vallarta as the popular Mexico resort destination resumes normal operation following Hurricane Kenna.

"Most of the city's hotels, resorts, restaurants and attractions are open," said Bradley Walker, Alaska's director of leisure marketing.

The weather pattern is now back to normal for the season with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the 70s and 80s.

Alaska Airlines Vacations customers who were scheduled to stay at one of the few hotels that have not yet reopened will be reaccommodated to anther hotel. Any change fee will be waived for customers who would prefer to change to another Alaska Airlines destination in Mexico.

The 8th annual Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Festival will also proceed as scheduled.

The nation's ninth largest carrier, Alaska celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. Alaska serves 51 cities in the Lower 48, Alaska, Canada and Mexico with more than 500 daily flights, including 20 flights to six Mexico resort destinations.
