Alaska Airlines to Reaccommodate National Airlines Customers

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2002--Alaska Airlines announced today that it will provide travel options to National Airlines passengers due to National's cessation of operations.

National passengers may standby for a $25 service charge for one-way travel between Seattle and Las Vegas.

Standby passengers must travel on the date of their originally scheduled flight and must show their National ticket or electronic ticket receipt issued on or before Nov. 6. If Alaska is unable to accommodate them, they may elect to standby the following day. The $25 service fee will be refunded if standby space does not become available. Standby travel will not be available after Jan. 5.

Passengers wishing to purchase a confirmed-space ticket can take advantage of Alaska's low fares and flexible travel policies.

National Airlines passengers may not use the value of their National ticket towards the purchase of a new Alaska Airlines ticket. Passengers who purchased their original National Airlines ticket with a credit card may be able to apply to the credit card company for a refund of the National ticket.

To purchase confirmed space tickets, visit www.alaskaair.com or call Alaska's toll-free reservations line at 800/ALASKAAIR (800/252-7522).
