Alaska Airlines Plans Anchorage -- Vancouver Nonstop, Increases Anchorage -- Portland Service

SEATTLE, Mar 3, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Alaska Airlines announced today that it will initiate non-stop service between Anchorage and Vancouver and add a third daily Anchorage -- Portland non-stop.

The new service will begin June 8. That same day, Alaska will add a second daily non-stop flight between Seattle and New York/Newark, which is timed for easy connections to the state of Alaska.

All of the new flying is planned for seasonal service through early September.

The Vancouver flight will depart Anchorage as Flight 102 at 1:01 p.m. and arrive in Vancouver at 5:19 p.m. On the return, Flight 105 departs Vancouver at 1:10 p.m. and arrives in Anchorage at 3:34 p.m.

Alaska recently announced non-stop service between Seattle and Orlando. The Orlando flight, along with flights to Alaska Airlines' other East Coast destinations, is timed for connections to Anchorage, Juneau and other Alaska cities.
