ADVISORY/Public Invited to Fly-in of Vintage Stinson Aircraft Piloted by Alaska Airlines President & CEO Bill Ayer and Alaska Air Group Director Richard Wien

May 29, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

	   SUMMARY: To celebrate Alaska Airlines' 70th anniversary, Alaska
        Airlines President Bill Ayer and Alaska Air Group Board Member
        Richard Wien will pilot a vintage 1944 Stinson V-77 Reliant,
        painted in Alaska Airline's post World War II livery. The
        public is invited to take a peek at the aircraft, which is on
        loan from the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum in Anchorage.
	   WHO: Bill Ayer, president and CEO of Alaska Airlines, and Richard
        Wien, chairman and CEO of Fairbanks-based Florcraft Inc. and a
        member of the Alaska Air Group Board of Directors. Former
        Alaska Airlines pilots Bob Jacobsen and Don Hulhizer, who flew
        the aircraft in its heyday, also will be on hand to answer
        questions from the public about the aircraft.
	   WHERE: Richard Wien's hangar at the Fairbanks International
        Airport. From the airport, take Airport Way to University
        Avenue. Turn right and head south on University Avenue for 1.7
        miles. Turn right and head west on Hagberg Access Road. Hanger
        is first hangar on right.
	   WHEN: May 30. The aircraft is scheduled to make a low fly-by of
        the hangar at approximately 11 a.m. After it touches down, the
        aircraft will be available for public viewing.
