Alaska Air Group reports April 2019 operational results

SEATTLE, May 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Alaska Air Group Inc. today reported April operational results on a consolidated basis for its mainline operations operated by subsidiary Alaska Airlines Inc. and for its regional flying operated by subsidiary Horizon Air Industries Inc. and third-party regional carriers SkyWest Airlines and Peninsula Airlines, a subsidiary of Ravn Air Group.

 

AIR GROUP
On a combined basis for all operations, Air Group reported a 0.4% increase in traffic on a 0.1% decrease in capacity compared to April 2018. Load factor increased 0.4 points to 84.7%.

MAINLINE
Mainline reported a 0.9% decrease in traffic on a 1.3% decrease in capacity compared to April 2018. Load factor increased0.3 points to 85.1%. Mainline also reported 83.7% of its flights arrived on time in April 2019, compared to 83.4% reported in April 2018.

Regional traffic increased 14.6% on a 12.2% increase in capacity compared to April 2018. Load factor increased 1.7 points to 81.1%. Alaska's regional partners also reported 88.4% of flights arrived on time in April 2019, compared to 85.6% in April 2018.
